'The Thrive' 2026

  • Issue 10 – October 2026
V - Vision Forward: Pathways Forward This month we want to open the conversation about vocational education, traineeships, school-based apprenticeships, and work experience programs. These are legitimate, well-paying, deeply satisfying career pathways — and they are often extraordinarily well-suited to how neurodiverse learners learn best: by doing.
  • Issue 9 – September 2026
V - Vision Forward: Bright Futures This month we are talking about career vision — and we want to start it much earlier than most people think to. Career planning for neurodiverse young people is not something that begins in Year 11. It begins now, with the questions we ask and the experiences we offer.
  • Issue 8 – August 2026
I - Integrate Support: Advocacy in Action This month we want to give you the tools and language to use in school meetings, with allied health professionals, and in any situation where you need to advocate for your young person. Advocacy is about being informed, calm, and persistent.
  • Issue 7 – July 2026
I - Integrate Support: Building Your Team This month we are talking about your team. Raising a neurodiverse learner well is not a solo endeavour. It requires a network — teachers, allied health professionals, school support staff, coaches, and most importantly, you.
  • Issue 6 – June 2026
R - Reimagine Learning: Education Strategies This month we want to encourage you to be proactive rather than reactive. Do not wait for the report card to tell you how the year is going. Book a mid-year conversation with your student's teacher now, before the term ends.
  • Issue 5 – May 2026
R - Reimagine Learning: Mid-Year Review This month we are looking at school itself — not as a fixed system your learner must adapt to, but as something that can and should flex to meet your young person's learning needs. That is not a radical idea. And it is something we can help families navigate.
  • Issue 4 – April 2026
H - Honour Strengths: Rest and Reset Neurodiverse students often carry more cognitive and emotional load through a school term than their peers — masking, adapting, managing sensory environments, navigating social complexity. The holidays are not just downtime. They are recovery time.
  • Issue 3 – March 2026
H - Honour Strengths: Celebrating Strengths We want to gently challenge something many of us have been taught: that support means fixing what is wrong. In our experience, the most powerful breakthroughs come not from fixing weaknesses, but from building so much confidence and competence around a learner's strengths that the challenges become more manageable alongside them.
  • Issue 2 – February 2026
T - Tune In: Knowing Your Learner This month we want to highlight something that sounds simple but makes a difference: learning to truly observe your young person. Not to fix or judge what you see, but to understand it. Notice the time of day they are sharpest, the environments that calm them, the topics that light them up — stop trying to make them fit the system, and start building a life that fits them.
  • Issue 1 – January 2026
T - Tune In: New Beginnings This month invite yourself to pause before the rush sets in. Before the homework, the meetings, and the reports — take a moment to set an intention for the year. Not a goal list, not a plan — just one question to carry with you: what does thriving look like for my child this year?
